In 2c8 Apps you have the possibility to add images to your models. This can be, for example, for home pages or other parts of your publication where you don't want to use 2c8's standard objects. In this article, we explain how to add an image in 2c8 Apps.
Images in 2c8 Apps are added by replacing objects with images. Right-click on the object you want to turn into an image and select ‘Image’.
You will then get the dialogue as shown below where you can either choose to add your own images, or browse 2c8's icon library. If you want to add your own image, click on ‘plus’ under the ‘Images’ tab. Navigate to the location on your computer where you saved the image and click ‘OK’.
The image you selected will remain in your repository and can be reused elsewhere, but for different objects. Click on ‘check’ to replace the item with the image you selected.
Adjust the size of the object as needed.
| Please note that depending on the size of the image, the label may become very large. Hold down CTRL and click the image to select the image label. While holding down CTRL on the keyboard, grab one of the small blue boxes in the corners of the label to adjust the label size. |
You have now replaced your object with an image. Just like with a regular object, you can add descriptions, attach documents, or assign fields to the image.
