The regular copy is mainly for copying objects and relationships between models in the same repository. If you want to copy a selection as an image to paste into another program, you can choose "Copy as image" instead. You will then have three different choices for the format of the image added to the clipboard:
Copy image with improved image quality
The image looks better on screen and in print but has a white background. Use this if you are pasting the image onto a white background so that the edge of the image is not visible.
Copy image with transparent background
The image will have a transparent background. However, the image quality may be slightly worse. Use this if you are pasting the image over some other material that needs to be seen through or if the background is not white where you are pasting it.
Copy to image in vector format
The image is saved in vector format. The advantage of vector format is that the image can be enlarged and reduced without losing image quality, similar to the models in 2c8 Apps which are also in a vector format.
(Not all programs can handle vector format and you may need to look for a special command in the program to load the image).
