How do I move my locally stored repositories from one computer to another?

If you have a new computer and store your repositories locally on your old one, you need to move your locally stored repositories from your old computer to your new computer. There are two methods of moving repositories from one computer to another:

2. Use the export/import function; read these FAQ's: How do I create an export file with my material? and How do I import models?
