Why are some objects transparent?

The setting ‘Make borrowed objects transparent’ makes objects whose home model is different from the current model transparent. The objects that are not transparent will have the current model as their home model. You can change the home model by right-clicking on an object and selecting ‘Set this model as home’.

Home model is useful, for example, for the published material, as the end user who searches for an object in the search bar ends up in the object's home model after clicking on the search result.

You can switch the ‘Make borrowed items transparent’ function on and off by clicking on the wheel in the toolbar.
