In the web profile, you can choose to filter lists and matrices in the published material based on the active model (the model you are currently viewing). For example, you can show a list of all documents in the menu and then activate "Filer on active model, " meaning only documents in the current model will be visible in the published material.
Below, we explain how to filter information on the active model.
The information you can choose to filter on the active model is lists and matrices. This can be done in panels and menu bars. In the example below, we show how to filter a list displayed in the menu bar on the active model.
- Click on ‘Tools’ - ‘Publish’.
- Double-click on your web profile to edit it.
- Click on the edit pen next to the menu bar to edit the information.
4. Click on ‘Add menu item’ and select ‘List’.
5. A dialogue box will appear where you can edit the information you want to display. Here, select ‘Filter by active model’ (marked below in the image). You can also select ‘Customise heading’ and name the heading on the list to make it clear to the end user that all documents in the active model are displayed, instead of displaying the list name ‘All documents’.
6. Click ‘Save’ to save your changes. When you publish your material, the documents in the list in the menu bar will be filtered according to the active model that the end user is viewing in the publication. In other words, only documents included in that model will be displayed.
