Publishing is something you do to give users without a Modeling tool or Lite license access to the processes created through the tool. The published material is what gives the large mass within your organization access to see your processes.
There are 2 types of publishing. You can use one of these or both in parallel.
Web publishing
A web publication means that you create a website with your processes. This means that you as a user get a simple and easy way to click around between the processes and take part in documents linked to them. This type of publishing is the one that we recommend everyone to do.
There are different ways to publish your website. You can publish to your own web server or to a publishing site purchased via 2c8. Here you choose the technical solution that suits you best. The result is ultimately the same - a website from which your users can access the processes.
You can customize the appearance of your website with, among other things, your logo and color profile. The adjustments are made via what we call a web profile.

Report publishing
Report publishing involves generating a document, either PDF or Word, that contains all of your processes. This can be useful, for example, to send your processes to an external party without having to give them access to the web publication. The file that is generated is also better suited for printing, so if you want to print your processes, this type of publication is also preferable to a web publication.
We have several articles on the topic of publishing. Please take a look at them here if there is any specific information you are looking for:
