Where should I publish my models?

The published models are built to be published to and viewed via a web server, for example, Microsoft IIS or Apache http Server. We recommend that the published models are placed on a web server to get optimal performance when viewing the models in a web browser.

You can also view the published models straight from a hard drive, for example from C: or a NAS. Cloud services like Dropbox, Google Drive, or Microsoft OneDrive can be used to share the published models between users, but not to view the models straight from the cloud since these services do not offer a web server service.

The published models can also be viewed on your intranet. How this works depends on what platform your intranet is built upon, but the best way is usually to publish the models to a web server and view the models via an IFrame.
