In the web profile, you can make settings that are only applied to certain models and objects when publishing. This is called "Custom layout". For example, you can show certain information only when clicking a specific type of object.
You can use custom layouts for information panels, the menu, and the model area.
- Edit the web profile by clicking "Tools" - "Publish" and select the web profile you use to publish your models. Click the pen to the right to edit the web profile.
- Edit any of the areas that use custom layouts mentioned above. Click the pen next to the dropdown that says "Default for all objects/models".
- You can create multiple different filters for which you, later on, can apply custom settings.
- Name the filter and add filters to get your desired result. You can choose as many types of metadata as you like to make the filter specific enough. In this example, we only filter out process objects.
- This gives us a filter containing all process objects in our published material.
- After that, we choose the filter we created in the list of custom layouts. All the settings we make after choosing the filter will only apply to the objects or models included in the filter. In this example, the information we add in the left information panel will only be displayed when clicking process objects.
Filters for custom layouts are applied by priority order. This is because models and objects can be included in multiple filters at the same time. If we were to add another filter for all models that have the status "Work in progress", there could be process models that can be included in both the filter for process models and the new filter for the status "Work in progress". To be able to control what information is showing when viewing a model that is included in multiple filters we need to use the priority order. You can move the filters up and down to change the priority. The filter at the top has the highest priority and will be applied to all models or objects that are included in the filter. At the bottom, we have a default filter that will be applied to all models or objects that are not included in another filter. It's not possible to move or delete that filter. |
