When working in 2c8, you can share the current model directly from the tool by clicking the "Share" button in the toolbar.
You can choose to share the model as an image, a pdf report or a word report. If you choose image, only an image of the model is created, but if you choose pdf or word, a report is created.
In 2c8, there is a default template for how this report should be designed, but if you are a server administrator, you can change the template for the entire server. The template is then changed for all users working against the server. This guide describes how to do this.
- To change the template, you first need to create a report profile, which will design the template. Here you can read about how to create a report profile. Then save the profile by clicking "Save".
- Then export your profile by selecting the profile and clicking "Export". Select a location where you want to save the export file.
- Then exit the repository so you see the list of all repositories on the server, click on "Tools"-->Start admin tool. Wait until the window opens and log in to the server in the admin tool.
- In the "Share report" field, select the report profile for the share button. Click Import (box with down arrow), point to the export file you created in step 2.
- Don't forget to save the changes on the cassette icon in the top left corner.
Now you should be able to click on the share button and the template that you imported into the admin tool will be applied to the pdf or word report.
