To make a 2c8 Lite user see models from a repository on your server, first of all the user needs to have access to the server and repository, but also be added to maintenance roles for the models they should have access to.
- The first thing that has to be done to give 2c8 Lite users access to models is to make sure that the user have access to the reposioty that the model is located in. A server administrator in 2c8 Modeling Tool need to add that user to the correct repository. This is done through "Users and permissions" in 2c8 Modeling Tool. Read more about how to give users access to a repository in this FAQ: How do I give users access to a repository?
- To make sure the correct models are available for the 2c8 Lite user, a 2c8 Modeling Tool user needs to add the 2c8 Lite user to maintenance roles on the models. The 2c8 Lite user can be Modeler, Reviewer or Approver for models. Read more about how to do this in 2c8 Modeling Tool in this FAQ: How do I give users access to a repository?
- After the steps above have been performed by a 2c8 Modeling Tool user the 2c8 Lite user will see the models in the dashboard. What box the models show up in depends on what maintenance role the 2c8 Lite user has on the model. In the image below the 2c8 Lite user is a Reviewer on "Advertise" and therefore the model is visible in the box "Reviewed by me". It's also visible in the box "For review" since it's waiting to be reviewed.
