Application models are essential for describing the structure and interactions between components within an application or IT system. They illustrate how an application is built, detailing its services, interfaces, and the necessary functions that enable these services. Application objects and their relations
The model above is an example of an application model that shows how an application is built and it follows this reasoning:
An application has services. The service requires an interface. The interface is part of the service. Components are part of a system that involves collected functions and data that are exposed (used) through a set of interfaces. To perform the service, the necessary functions must be available. Functions are used by the Service. The service uses functions.
On an overall level, the relationship between applications can be described. We then use the relation "Interrelates with" as it is usually about two-way information to describe an integration or information exchange.
The relation can then be broken down into a new application model, which is illustrated above with the break down arrows.

Tips along the way: Think about the audiences for which information is added. An employee in the process does not need the same information as an IT manager or as a business developer. Customize which information in descriptions and fields is displayed when clicked on the application and which is only in lists. From a dashboard point of view, think about how you would like to see the information you are going to model, such as in lists with associated description information. This is to get an idea of where information should be found and how the objects relate to each other.
