What is the Browser, and how does it work?

The Browser in 2c8 Modeling Tool searches for content in your repository. The Browser is reachable next to the "Home-button", in the left panel, or through "View" - "Find" in the menu.

The Browser is based on filters and a search function. You can filter a result by choosing to show "All objects" of the object type "Activities" that are included in "Chosen models". But, you can also search for a result in the search field at the bottom of the Browser.

The filtering in the Browser is based on the selection: 

• Models
• Objects
• Documents
• Document types
• Document roots
• Descriptions and fields
• Subscribers
• Entity properties

You can also choose to use filtering to further specify your selection, for example, by filtering on a specific field with a particular field value.

When clicking on the Browser in the left panel, a number of pre-defined selections for all types of content will appear, such as a view of all the models in your repository, all the objects, and all documents. You will also find two other views: the "Trash can" and "Maintenance".
